Monday, October 1

3-4:30 PM

We will begin our Good News Club at Keystone Heights Elementary on this date.  All children 1st – 6th grade are welcome to attend.  Please fill out a permission form if you would like your child to attend.

Wednesday, October 3

6:30 – 8 PM

This night is Wii Night.  Come on out on this night and try to beat Pastor Gerry in some MarioKart.

Wednesday, October 10

6:30 – 8 PM

On this night the children are to bring their own paper airplanes already designed.  Prizes will be given out for the one that goes the farthest, the straightest, and the one that does the most loops.

Saturday, October 20

9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Cost is $16 at the gate.  If you did not sign up by September 23rd, you are still more than welcome to come.

We are going to the Amazing Grace Crop Maze in Green Cove Springs, FL. All children in 1st – 6th grade are invited. We will plan on leaving the church parking lot at 9:30 AM, and returning by 2:30 PM. Please pack a bag lunch, and we will have a cooler for the children to put their lunches in. If you would like to go please sign up in the foyer of the Multi-Ministry building.

Sunday, October 21

Noon – 3 PM

This is an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship for the 1st & 2nd graders centered around fall. The Hortons will provide transportation and lunch following the morning service. Parents please pick up your children at the home of the Hortons at 3 PM.

Wednesday, October 24

6:30 – 8 PM

This is what we will be doing on this night.  During our PT Time we will be filling up OCC shoeboxes with gifts that have been donated by people of the church. These shoeboxes will be going to children all over the world.

We will also be serving some delicious pizza for the children on this night.


Weekly Ministries

Every Wednesday from 6:30 – 8 PM in the Multi-Ministry Building we have a very special Preschool Program for the 4 & 5 Year Olds called Gopher Buddies, and a wonderful Children’s Program for 1st – 6th Graders called Olympians.  In these programs we teach the Word of God to the children, and encourage them to have a daily Quiet time with the Lord in His Word.


Every Sunday at 10:30 AM we have a special Children’s Worship service just for the children in 1st – 6th grade in the Children’s Worship Room in the Multi-Ministry Building.   This service is designed so that the children can have a worship experience on their age level.


Each Sunday Night we have Children’s Choir at 6 PM.  Every child in 1st – 6th grade are welcome to attend.

Annual Ministries

 

First Baptist Basketball & Cheer

Every January & February we have a basketball & Cheer teaching ministry open to the community.  Any children 5 Years Old – 6th Grade are invited to be a part. Be looking for info around October.

 Easter Egg Hunt

Every year the Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend we have an Easter Egg Hunt in Azalea Park.  This Easter Egg Hunt is open to all children in the community up to 6th Grade.

Camp Good News

Every year we offer a day camp to all children up through 4th grade in Hawthorne, FL which is called Camp Good News.  Look for info about this camp around the month of March.

 Word Of Life Youth Camp

Every year we offer a week long overnight camp called Word of Life Florida Youth Camp which is located in Hudson, FL.  This is open to all children in 2nd – 6th Grade.  Look for info about this camp around the month of February.

Fall Festival

Every year we have our fall festival which is open to the entire community.  At this festival we have Games, prizes, Candy, Bounce Houses, Dramatized Bible stories, Snow Cones, Popcorn, Hot Dogs, Chips, and Drinks.  Be looking for info about our fall festival at the beginning of October.
