How it all started...
We were founded in 1949 by some visionaries in Keystone Heights. They saw need for a Bible believing, and preaching church, was needed in this small town. Through lots of prayer and petition this team moved from meeting in houses to eventually purchasing the land we are currently entrusted with. The Church flourished and the community was, and still, is being reached for the Gospel's sake.
We are thankful for those in the past that were willing to, not only seek God but, follow Him as well. We pray that we are also forward thinking so that we can continue the movement of the Gospel through the community around us.

Expanding the vision...
Our vision is to seek God and yield to His plan for First Baptist Church. We pray that all we do is centered in Christ and what His Gospel offers to everyone around us.
Where we are headed...
We are headed in the direction that Jesus pointed for us to go. We are told by Christ to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything He has commanded.
We are committed to be found faithful in this command by being a conduit for all people, everythwhere, to come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Here at First Baptist Church, we are committed to the lifestyle that spurs community, relationships and service that is founded in Faith, Hope, and Love.
